Isabelle Ackroyd is an American/Canadian story artist who began working in animation in 2022. She has worked as an independent artist since graduating from the Alberta University of the Arts in 2020. Most recently she has worked as a contractor for Squidbrain Studio’s on their productions Ghost Toast and Sunburnt Unicorn.
Isabelle graduated with a Bachelor of Design, and a minor in Animation, from the Alberta University of the Arts. She then went on to work as the Calgary Library’s Children’s Artist in Residence in 2021. While there, she worked on her own comic, and taught kids how to tell stories through their own comics. Then went on to teach more comic classes at Place des Arts, leading into 2022. where she began working as a contract storyboard artist.
Her body of work mostly focuses on telling stories that focus on humour and telling personal stories through crazy characters and adventures.
